What about me? How have I been??

Me? Joi will have another meimei this coming August... Yes... I am expecting again...

Currently at 22weeks.... And I feel the same... No cravings (Thank God), No Stretchmarks (Please God... don let them appear...) No elephant legs (Noooooo God Noooooo) Not much nauseous feeling during the first few months except for that 1 day, I think it is a medical condition more than a pregancy condition.. Did major vomitting.. 9 times for that day..

Of course.. My cell group members are praying for me.. I can feel it...

And... I have upgraded from jobowtique.blogspot.com to www.jobowtique.com... Do take a look if you ever wanna get something for your princess or even prince! I hope to do it full time someday...

Hello.. Everyone.. I am BACK~!!

Lazy me have not been blogging for a few months already.. Not sure if there is anyone following.. or should I use was there anyone following.. lol.

How is my girl doing now? GREAT~!! All praise to God. She is completely healed of milk allergy~!!



And me..?? I have stop breastfeeding my girl a few weeks back when she is 6 months old... And I have taken an interest in making hair clips and pacifier holder for her..

Starting Work Soon

My 1st part of maternity leave is coming to an end... I am going to start work next week. *sob**sob* I am sure going to miss my Joi... Was rummanging thru her clothings & stuffs to move over to her grandparents' place... Found 3 cute headbands.. decided to try one on her.. hehe...

Starting my 2nd part of maternity leave at the beginning of next year..



I also took out some of the clothes that she have outgrown and put it on her... This is one of them.. Look like "Ba Zhang".. haha

Baby Dedication

Today, HB & I dedicated Joi to the Lord. We want to express our appreciation to GOD for bringing Joi to our family.

What is baby dedication?

Dedicating a child acknowledges God's sovereignty not only over the child, but also Mom and Dad. Parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities.

Joi's 1st Month Celebration

We celebrated Joi's 1st month yesterday.. A couple of misunderstanding but everything went smoothly..Joi was slightly cranky due to the lack of sleep. Church pastors came in almost full force depsite their busy schedule. Hubby and I were too busy or too engrossed in meeting up with relatives and friends to take photographs. Got this picture from one of my care cell members.

My confinement lady is leaving tomorrow... She have been a great help to me. Must be independent from now on.

My 3 Weeks Old Joi

Joi have already passed the 4kg mark. She is currently @4.05kg. She cannot fit into Huggies Ultra Newborn diapers anymore.

As mentioned in the earlier post, Joi have been pretty cranky. Brought her to the doctor and found out that she have milk allergy. Poor Joi... She have been having tummyache and was not able to express out her discomfort. Have switch her to Similac Alimentum today and we shall monitor her again. I pray that God will heal her.

My Life During Confinement: Week 2

This is my 2nd week in confinement... How do I feel?? I feel really confined... Not allowed to step out of the house unless I absolutely have to. 3 pairs of eyes keep tab on me, namely my hubby, my mum & my mil.

My schedule during the day: Eat, play with Joi, pump & read bible, talk to Joi, surf net, eat, sleep, play with Joi, surf net, Talk to Joi, pump & read bible, surf net, eat & sleep. Bored, bored, bored....

Joi have been very very cranky during the day for the past few days but thankfully she sleep peacefully during the night and wakes up only for feeds and diaper change.

She is 2 weeks old now! Hubby and I have already started to plan for her 1 month celebration... How time files...

Baby Joi Is Officially 1 Week Old~!!

Baby Joi is officially 1 week old. I am very blessed to have a confinement lady taking care of me. Life for me during confinement is a breeze... My confinement lady take care of Joi & me 24 hours and my mil come by everyday to look at her darling granddaughter...

Must learn to take care of Joi before the confinement lady leave.. Otherwise I will tear my hair out...

Day 3 Since Joi Was Born

My milk supply have not kick in yet... I told myself not to be stress over this matter... Today I pump for half an hour and got about 7-8 drops of milk! Though it is not much, but it is a start... Sweet hubby keep encouraging me giving me a much needed boost! Tomorrow will be a better day!

My Birth Story

7.00am - Checked into hospital
8.30am - Pill inserted and did an VE check. Only 1 cm dilated... happily sleep for 2 hours
10.30am - Did another VE. Only 1.5cm!
2.00pm - started to feel the contraction but still bearable...
2.30pm - Cannot take it liao.. Call nurse for gas and called hubby to keep me company... Previously, ask him to wait in the waiting room so that I can take my nap.
3.30pm - Push into delivery ward.
5.53pm - Baby Joi was born with only 4 pushes...

Doctor did an routine episiotomy but I got no tears... And I did it without any epidural~!! She weigh about 7.66pound and her lenght is 53cm...

Today is my last day liao... Tomorrow is a brand new experience!!

Now, one last look at my preggy state.

I will be checking in to the hospital tomorrow @ 7am... My Gynae will be inducing me since my baby is still staying so comfortably inside me when she is supposed to be due on 19/08/2008...Will be posting pictures of Baby Joi as soon as I can.

Priase the Lord!! Government have changed the effective date for baby bonus to be backdated from 01/01/2009 to 17/08/2008!! Thank you Lord for not letting the baby come out earlier!!!

If Eve's curse literally does mean that she will have severe pain with each conception and each birth of a baby, then it would have to mean that Adam and men must have severe pain each time they eat a meal. We know that isn't true.

I just pray that when that time come, I will have enough faith to drive out all fear and believe in Christ for a fast and painless delivery.

Me & My Belly @ 38Wks & 3 Days

This is the current me. Thank God I do not have any stretch marks and I pray that they will not miraculously appear after delivery. I do not have much of the pregnancy symptoms that I have read so much about. No water retention, no stretchmarks, no difficulty in sleeping, no pregnancy mood swings. My backache have gone and my constipation have also subsided. And I thank my care cell members for all their prayers for me. Without the prayers that they have showered on me, I do not think that my pregnancy will be as easy.

I also thank God for having such supportive colleagues. All of them are very thoughtful and very helpful during my pregnancy stage. I must thank one of them specially, Faith Huang who have gone thru many troubles to get a book for me called "Supernatural Childbirth" by Jackie Mize. It speaks of God's promise concerning Conception and Delivery and I am very much encouraged by it.

My Diaper Bag

I bought this coach bag from Macys few weeks back and I finally receive it. Fully paid for by my dearest hubby. He bought it for me for my everyday use.. But I decided to use it as a diaper bag..

Start Of a Long Tiring Leave

Today is my first day of my maternity leave.. Better rest as much as I can before the baby come out.. Looking at what other mummies says, they don't even have the time to warm their chair before they need to attend to their baby.

Finally, I got everything that I want to get.

I just got back from my final major shopping. Spend about SGD200++ in 2 days getting all the miscellaneous items...

The baby aka guest room is finally ready for her to use..

Baby Cot Arriving This Saturday~!!

I have not posted for very long.. Very excited that the baby cot is arriving this Saturday. My hubby keep pushing me to collect the cot, saying that I don't have much time left. And to think I used to push him for it...

I will most probably do a final major shopping with hubby this saturday.. Need to get disposable diapers & baby wipes & a diaper changing pad & bedding sets..

Been very lazy to post recently.. But I cannot resist putting up this photo.. He is so cute when he is only nine months old~!!

I went to see my super duper ultra cute 3 yrs old nephew with my sis & mum a few days back... Bought some donuts for him on the way.. My sis commented that the donuts look like they weigh a ton when I carry them and that I walk like a duck... I did not notice that I have started to waddle until she commented.. I also notice that my step is getting smaller and my pace is getting slower.. Never thought that it will happen to me...

I have been feeling pretty lethargic recently... Hardly have any energy for anything else other than eat work sleep... Even normal household chores look like mountainous task for me... *Sigh* I am only at my 31 weeks... How?? What will happen when I am at my final final stages of pregnancy??

My girl is super active lately... Either kicking me in the ribs or punching me in the pelvic bones all day long... Ouch~!! And I thought baby sleep like 80%-90% of the time?? Amazing feeling but at the same time a very uncomfortable one as well.

Proud Dad-to-Be???

My church was celebrating Father's Day yesterday... My hubby was pulled out of the congregation by one of the church worker to receive the Father's Day gift. He was crowned "Youngest Dad of the year". Though he was grumbling and complaining to me that he was not qualified to receive that award as the baby was not out yet, I could see a sparkle in his eyes(okay, maybe i was dreaming). He said that he was confident that he could hold that title for a few more years after the baby was born and therefore not in a hurry to collect it.

I told him to treasure that moment as he will soon be looking forward to getting the "Oldest Dad of the year" award.

Backaches...

Backache~!!! Pain Pain Pain... I think it is because of my sitting posture that causes this backache.. I only have half my butt on the chair most of the time. Must remember not to slouch while sitting down.. But that is my favourite sitting position!! I can hardly climb up 4 storey to go home yesterday because of the ache. I cannot imagine how it will be like in my final final stages...

Going to be a mother soon??!!??? OMG~!!!

Even until this very day, I still cannot believe that I am going to be a mother soon... Even though I can feel her kicks and punches and see her in the ultrasound, Even though my waistline is now more than 37inch, I still can't believe it...

It is like a dream. And I believe that my hubby also cannot believe it himself... Seems like yesterday that we just met each other(I have been with him for the past 10 years, when we are barely past our teens... !!) Cheonging, pubbing and chilling out with friends is our ideal lifestyle...

My Belly @ 29Weeks 3 Days

This is my belly @ 29weeks.. So far so good.. No stretchmark at all..

A lot of people says that my belly is small for my stage.. but who cares.. My baby is @ a healthy weight and I am @ a healthy weight.. That's all that matters. Small belly better.. easier to slim down and it also reduce chances of getting stretchmarks...
